Believe it or not, in Leuven, there's a homeless guy, with long brown hair, a long brown leather coat....YUP! Your standard Druid's armour ranger! Similarities are shocking. ( haven't seen him lately, might've migrated..should've taken a screenshot )

How is dressing up in a costume stupid? People have been dressing up in costumes for millenias, yet it's stupid?

And dont tell me it's because it's guildwars. People have been wearing masks in name of their gods, wearing robes for heaven knows how long, and have believed in some forms of magic since the dawn of the days. We dress up as vampires, goblings, spellcasters every halloween. Sure it's more acceptable on those days, but people still dress up all the time.

It isn't stupid to believe and to have an imagination, and I do feel sorry that you can not respect the meaning of imagination.

im not saying that dressing up in a costume is stupid, im generally talking about people who dress up as video game characters, specifically those who dress up and then continue on into a glorious battle, which in my humble opinion, is what people do when they make costumes out of guild wars characters. if you disagree with me fine, it is expected from a group of people who play rpg's. I just find it extrememly odd to dress up as a character of a game on a daily basis. The thread starter stated he was wearing it at home while posting....ODD. oh well shit happens. just expressing my utter confusion for such an action. i am a mean person, so i take my rage out on things that i dont find the "norm".

Japanese people Cosplay (dress up as characters) A LOT of the time on a daily basis, it is something that has been going on for a long time. They even have Cosplay events from time to time. Are those the ones you are talking about being stupid ?

Ah, right, so you did just say it was about Guildwars and did just admit that it's all utterly stupid, specially by posting that link by editing your initial post.

If you haven't got anything nice to say Reverse, dont post. He's having fun, and it's a shame you can't understand and respect the meaning of fun for others. Harold drew my avatar( which could use an updating due to my hair being longer...) and has a good imagintion and ability to focus it onto something, be it Guildwars or not.

So respect him in making a costume, something no one is forcing you to wear, no one is forcing you to read these post, or anything. If you can't have any respect, you dont belong in this thread.

Edit: Yes he is Eletric, that is a fair part of exactly what he speaks about.

yes, i think all the japanese people who do this on a daily basis need help. and when did this become a debate about respect?? The comics that this guy makes are quite funny and he has talent. I never once said that i dont respect him as a person. All i am saying is that dressing up in a costume of a video game character for the sake of it is beyond me, and i find it to be completely idiotic. Just because i disagree with something a person does does not mean i dont respect him. And this is not just about guild wars, this is all cosplay and larpers in a whole. I just think the whole concept of it all is moronic.

Just cos some people have different interests/tastes that may be in the minority does not give you the right to take any rage on them for not being "norm" enough for you, your majesty !

How much more anally-retentive can you get ?!

It became about respect when you started disrespecting people.

Just because they like to dress up, does not give you the "Rage" right to bash them to make your self happy because you live a depressing life because you refuse to get out of this "rage" and other people, namely those who dress up in costumes, might just be happier then you.

So, again, dont post if your going to call what Harold or anyone else is doing idotic. The boy has talent, respect his talent you might do, but when you start bashing because he put his talent into a costume, your crossing boundaries that many of us will take a Hammer of Defense and bash you back with.

NOOOOOOO! Stop the madness! I agree that Reverse Oreo is being obnoxious and fascistic, but lets at least give him credit for admitting that he is evil, and then lets just rise above it, ok? so we can get on with carrying out our bizarre, but perfectly ok, hobby of dressing up as people who do not exist.
I'm going to make monk armour out of a Karate Outfit. (Jesus, im begging for it)

NickHimself on the other hand, you should die and burn in hell. just saying.
